It seems everyone in life is getting carried away. We spend most of our time consuming media, or overthinking so much that we have forgotten how to live. The joy we get from learning from a book is good, and the time we spend on social media can be OK if we don’t abuse it. The problem is that there is too much distracting us from taking action in life. We would do ourselves a huge favor if we did more:
The best term for this lack of action can be “paralysis.” When we want to learn a new skill, the fear that we don’t know enough can be paralysing.
There are ways we can resolve this issue : “Action.” Action can be overwhelming. Besides habits, which are very useful, there is another simple way to overcome the paralysis that prevents us from taking action. It’s called Minimum Viable Action.
It is when you agree with yourself to do the least you can. For example when trying to run a marathon. The least amount of running one can do is a minute (yes, that little). Run for a minute each day long enough, and you will start feeling like you should run more.
Please don’t get distracted from living your “actual life.” Do the bare minimum, and whenever you fail, forgive yourself because, in the long run, you will discourage yourself from continuing.
